Efficiency Vermont is the nation's first statewide provider of energy efficiency services. We're operated by an independent, non-profit organization under contract to the Vermont Public Service Board.
Efficiency Vermont provides technical assistance and financial incentives to Vermont households and businesses, to help them reduce their energy costs with energy-efficient equipment and lighting and with energy-efficient approaches to construction and renovation.

The Renewable Energy Resource Center (RERC) provides consumers with information on solar hot water and solar electric renewable energy systems. In our web site you can learn about how solar electric and hot water systems work, find information on the economic and environmental benefits of renewable energy, and locate dealers and advice that can help you make better choices when purchasing and installing a renewable energy system.

Renewable Energy Vermont (REV) is working to bring about an intelligent transformation from a foreign fossil fuel based economy to an economy increasingly based on our own renewable energy. REV is also a great resource for researching wind, solar, biomass, hydro & geothermal technologies.

Earth 911
It is the mission of Earth 911 to empower the public with community-specific resources to improve their quality of life.

EPA - Household Recycling
The great part about recycling is that it can start in your own home. By ensuring that you don’t discard your recyclable products, such as soup cans, cereal boxes, plastic bags, and newspapers, you can contribute to the tons of material diverted from the waste stream every year. Composting organic materials, such as food scraps and yard clippings, is another way you can prevent further disposal into landfills and incinerators.

FreeCycle
The Freecycle Network™ is made up of thousands of groups with millions of members across the globe. It's a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (and getting) stuff for free in their own towns and thus keeping good stuff out of landfills.
